BROADWAY MELODIES (2007)

BROADWAY MELODIES (CD)

For a long time I have loved singing Show Tunes. In high school my best friend Patty urged me to audition for the school musical and I was cast to play Ado Annie in “Oklahoma.” The thrill of performing was sparked and I was never the same. I’ve been fortunate to star in numerous musicals since then including, “The King and I,” “My Fair Lady” and “Nine” which won Drama-Logue Awards in Los Angeles. After recording two albums of Jewish folk music, “My Favorite Hebrew Songs” and “Songs of the Jewish Spirit” I was encouraged by my fans to make a CD of favorite show tunes. This project lingered in the back of my mind for many years before I decided to call my talented producer David Pinto and just make it happen!

Selections include: Heart, As Time Goes By, Cole Porter Medley, Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man, One Note Samba, No One Is Alone, I Got Rhythm, Someone To Watch Over Me, Blues In The Night, My Fair Lady, Love Me Or Leave Me, I Dreamed A Dream, Hot Swing Medley, All The Things You Are

MY FAVORITE HEBREW SONGS (1993)

MY FAVORITE HEBREW SONGS (CD and cassette)

In the mid 1980’s, I made a live recording of my singing for a confirmation service at a synagogue in Atlanta. I recorded myself on my portable tape recorder. I shared this recording with my appreciative parents. More recently, after listening to a jazz demo tape I recorded with the extraordinary gifted David Pinto, my father commented on how great it would be to have that studio quality with my favorite Hebrew songs. Thus, the idea for this album was born.

Selections include: Halleluyah, Ve’haier Eineinu, Mi Haish, Adon Olam, Hafinjan, Tzena, Erev Shel Shoshanim, Esa Enai, Al Kol Elle, Bashana Haba’a, Yedid Nefesh, Hiney Mah Tov, Shalom Rav, Eli, Eli, Im Tirtzu, Yerushalayim Shel Zahav, Hatikvah
